Important Information
Grounded Therapy Co. is not a bulk billing practice.
The prices listed are consistent for all appointment types, including in-person, offsite, phone, and telehealth sessions.
If you have concerns about our psychology consultation fees, you might also consider discussing low-cost or free community services with your GP such as CYMHS, Headspace, applying for NDIS, or consulting the local Child and Family Centres.
Note: Prices will be updated from 01/07/26 with the start of the new financial year.
Intake Appointment (90 mins)
A Medicare rebate of $98.95 may apply
Standard Subsequent Appointment (50 mins)
A Medicare rebate of $98.95 may apply
Short Subsequent Appointment (30 mins)
A Medicare rebate of $70.15 may apply
Group Therapy Appointment (60 mins)
Requires a minimum of 4 participants for group therapy to go ahead.
Medicare rebates of $25.25 may apply

Group Therapy Appointment (90 mins)
A minimum of 4 participants is required.
Medicare rebate of $34.40 may apply.

Letters, writing reports, calls, reviewing reports, lengthy emails, etc.
Travel
If you request us to travel (for example, to a school or daycare to observe your child, meet with school staff, or attend external meetings), you will incur a travel fee to account for the time lost in scheduled sessions.
Medicare Rebates
You may be eligible to claim a Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions in a calendar year. Current Medicare rebates cover a portion of each session fee, but there will still be a gap in the costs. To access these reduced rates, a valid referral is required from your doctor (GP, psychiatrist, paediatrician). If the referral is made by a GP, ensure the GP is your regular treating doctor and also book a longer appointment to create a Mental Health Treatment Plan.
Private Health
If you have private health insurance, your policy may cover some of the psychology consultation fees for therapy. It's essential to check with your insurer about the specific coverage you have.
NDIS Participants
Grounded Therapy Co. offers short-term, goal-focused intervention blocks for children with NDIS funding. We accept self-managed or plan-managed funding and can support children with lower support needs. We do not have capacity for ongoing, long-term NDIS therapy; families needing longer-term support or higher needs will be guided to other providers.
The AAPI recommended fee for 2025-26 includes psychologist fees of $476 for a 90-minute consult, $330 for a 60-minute consult, and $181 for a 30-minute consult. At Grounded Therapy Co., we offer significantly lower rates than these recommended psychology consultation fees to ensure that psychological services are more accessible for you.
